Introducing the Shimano Curado BFS Casting Reels - the latest addition to the Curado low-profile lineup. This innovative reel takes finesse fishing to the next level for tournament anglers, following inspiration from the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM). Its ultra-light weight shallow spool is specifically designed for thinner diameter lines, allowing for more effective casting of lightweight lures compared to traditional low-profile models. The Curado BFS incorporates Shimano's Finesse Tune Brake (FTB) system, which strategically reduces the spool weight by moving the braking unit from the spool to the palming side-plate. This results in a smoother, easier turn for the spool and allows for seamless casting of lightweight tackle. Unlike traditional magnetic brake systems, the FTB takes advantage of centrifugal force during the cast and automatically adjusts the magnetic brakes only when needed. For further customization, anglers can fine-tune the FTB with the external dial or by adding or removing individual magnets as needed.
