Falcon Rods is reintroducing the popular Cara series. These all-new rods utilize state-of-the-art carbon fiber material to achieve a new cutting edge in strength and weight. Falcon Cara rods have long been known for their focus on responsive actions tuned for the intended end-use. That focus is now sharper than ever. As usual with Falcon, high-end 100% Fuji components are used throughout.
Falcon invented the “low-profile” rod, and these revamped Caras take that concept to a whole new level. First, we added low-lying, high-performing, tangle-free, Fuji®K frames. Protected by Fuji’s “CC” Corrosion Control finish, these frames have been proven to last up to 7-times longer than standard stainless steel. The K frames are then paired with extra-durable, silky-smooth, friction-reducing and “braid tough” FazLite™ guide rings. Fuji ECS™ reel seats, among the lightest and most sensitive ever, are also part of the package—along with our own proprietary, ultra-secure, locking nut that looks sharp and improves ergonomics.
Quality components are an essential element of all great rods, but what really puts the new Cara rods ahead of the pack are the blanks. All Cara blanks are now constructed with a newly developed carbon fiber. A carbon fiber that is both high strength and high modulus. This “best of both worlds” composite is made possible with a new, cutting-edge, nano-alloy-based, matrix resin technology. By combing incredible tensile strength with the “snap-back” compressive properties of high-modulus carbon, these new rods reach a new level of performance and tenacity.
