The first-generation Orochi XX Diablo Spec-R was a popular choice among advanced anglers for its versatile performance capabilities, especially in applications such as spinnerbaits, bladed jigs, swim jigs, and vibration lures. In the redesign of this model, the focus was placed on improving sensitivity and lifting power. With the use of the new Kabt™ Metal Microfiber material, the Diablo Spec-R now boasts increased lifting power without adding extra weight, making it ideal for fishing around vegetation and other types of cover. Additionally, the heightened sensitivity of the rod makes it ideal for presentations like swim jigs, where the only indication of a bite is often a slack line.
This casting rod features a length of 7'2", a medium power, and a fast taper. It has a lure rating of 3/8-3/4oz and a line rating of 8-20lb.
